FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is Darts Scoreboard free?
Yes. The app is free to download and use, with no ads and no account required.
Which darts games does it support?
Eight modes: 501 and X01 (301, 501 or 701), Cricket in Standard, Cut-Throat and Race variants, plus Shanghai, Killer, Halve It, Around the Clock, High Score and Elimination.
Does it suggest checkouts?
Yes. In X01 games the app shows an automatic checkout suggestion once you're in finishing range, so you don't have to memorise combinations.
Can it handle double in and double out?
Yes. You choose straight or double in and out before the game, and the app applies the rule for the whole leg — including rejecting a finish that doesn't land on the right double.
What happens when someone busts?
The app detects the bust and restores the score from the start of that turn automatically. You don't need to remember what the player was on.
How many players can play?
Up to eight. You can play solo for practice or pass-and-play around a group, and the app rotates turns and tracks each player separately.
What if someone taps the wrong number?
Tap undo to roll back the last throw. You can correct a miscount at any point without restarting the game.
Do I need an internet connection or an account?
No. Everything runs on your device. There's no sign-up, no login and no connection required — it works fully offline.
What darts stats does it track?
Three-dart average, checkout percentage, first-9 scoring and bust rate, plus Cricket marks per round, double and target hit rates, and head-to-head records between players.
Can I see whether my average is improving?
Yes. The app keeps 12-week trends, so you can see whether your three-dart average is actually climbing rather than guessing from your last game.
Does it save past games?
Yes. Every finished game is kept in your history with its stats, so you can revisit past results and head-to-head records.
Does Darts Scoreboard work on iPad?
Yes. It runs on both iPhone and iPad, so you can prop up whichever device is closer to the board.
